Our story began many years ago at Inland Revenue, where Liya and Lara honed their investigative skills. A shared passion for meticulous work, building strong connections, and a desire to help businesses flourish led them to embark on their own venture. Over 15 years later, their friendship and business partnership continue to thrive, fuelled by a love for great food, wine, travel, and dogs – alongside an unwavering commitment to quality advice and service.
Liya chitty
Liya Chitty, a partner at CCCA, is a Chartered Accountant (CA) with a Master's Degree in Taxation with First Class Honours. With eight years as a Specialist Investigator at Inland Revenue, Liya brings unparalleled expertise in high-level tax evasion and avoidance cases. Her deep knowledge covers International Tax, Double Tax Agreements, Tax Dispute Processes, Trust and Property Transactions, ensuring clients receive top-tier advice.
Liya excels in tax dispute resolution, a specialisation she researched extensively during her Masters. She helps clients navigate complex IRD audits, from initial inquiry through to debt resolution, with a proven track record of successful outcomes. Fluent in Chinese, Liya also enjoys fine dining, wine, travel, and is an avid golfer. She offers exceptional technical skills and an unwavering commitment to customer service.
Lara Camage
Lara is a partner at CCCA with many years of experience. She spent 8 years as an IRD investigator, over two separate periods. She has done company accounting for retail and call centers. She has experience managing HR and payroll while reporting monthly to the Australian parent company.
Lara spent 3 years in Vancouver working as a consultant, supporting the ACCPAC accounting package (now Sage) and training clients in the Vancouver area.
Since launching her business, Lara has formed strong partnerships with clients, supporting their growth and success. She is dedicated to providing value and enhancing client operations by implementing modern cloud-based systems, while also liaising with Inland Revenue on audit and debt resolutions.
Prioritizing family, including a large Newfoundland dog named Aria, Lara enjoys walking, practicing Pilates and yoga, cooking, and enjoying a nice bottle of wine.
